After a bottle of red, a night at The Sebright Arms seeing Raffertie for Halloween, and a miserable Friday lunchtime, sometimes all you need is a packed-to-the-brim burger to satisfy the carb cravings. As one of the ever-intriguing market stalls just outside my work, on Rupert Street, the CB Burger (cheese and bacon burger to you and I) from Burger Boy took my fancy today. After waiting for a woman with the most confusing order across six burgers to pay up, I got my hands on the brioche bun, Aberdeen Angus beef, cheese and sweet smoked bacon delight, finished with a handful of fresh salad, red onions and homemade chilli sauce.
I also picked up some Baileys fudge from The Red Gingham Bakery - perfectly smooth with the right amount of naughty liquor. I'm saving the rest (ie. the one piece left) for my mum as I'm hurtling back to Sussex tonight, and heading straight to Faustino's, our favourite local tapas bar. Perfect start to the weekend right here.
